When the toilet is free, the door is turned inward so without entering, one can use the sink. When in use, the door is turned outward creating more space inside the toilet.
Toilet door with sink - photosTechnical information
The half round door is built around a wooden framework with on both sides triple 3 mm bent triplex. The inside is covered with 0.5 mm stainless steel, just like the edges on the side of the door and a strip of 100 at the corner.
In the latter case, the outer triplex layer is milled to get the two surfaces of triplex and steel even. The door has both a floor and a roof. The floor contains three steel tubes which strengthen the construction. In the floor is space for the drainage and inside that a copper tube with the clean water supply. At the location where the draining and supply tubes come through the floor the steel tubes are situated of which the top one turns on nylon. To keep the door in place, the upper tube has some openings in which the lower one fits. On the top end of the door, connected to the roof, is a steel pin which turns in a hole in the upper frame - made of aluminium. In the exterior of the door, there are on both side "notches", covered with 0.5 mm stainless steel, which serve as door handles. The door can turn both ways.
