Annual archaeological Journal of EXARC
Mohini Visions took the job of designing the yearly journal of EXARC, the EXARC JOURNAL Digest. After having been made by another company for seven years it was decided to bring the journal more in line with the other products of the association and by that having one single corporate identity for all publications. A full colour journal counting 36 pages was made. It is printed in a circulation of 500, on A4 size, interior: 135 g wood free satin mc (gloss), cover: 250 gr wood free satin mc (gloss). From 2012 there will be a digital version of the Journal three times a year, presented on the EXARC website. The printed EXARC JOURNAL Digest will be a kind of "best of".

An important result of an EU project (liveARCH) was the series of 8 quality development plans. Each of the 8 museums had analysed itself following predefined themes. The Swedish partner in the project coordinated the questions and gathering the answers, Mohini Visions edited the 8 plans and did the graphic design. The original contents was expanded with an introduction per museum to contextualise the answers; also the definition of archaeological open air museums was added and relevant quotes from the respective marketing plan.

VAEE asked Mohini Visions to create a whole package: a poster, a folder and to design a cover for the Journal BAEE, which they publish 3 times a year. This should go with an example of how the new cooperative identity would influence the look of the contents. Since Mohini Visions took care of the design of BAEE for a period of 5 years in the past, we were familiar with the public and the image which the VAEE was searching for.

The design of this report (size A4, full colour, 31 pages, circulation 10) needed to underline the message: a rescue plan for an initiative with many possibilities for development. The design was also used to create coherence between the very different chapters and points of view. The colours and desihn of the report were derived from those used in the organisation.

It was printed by the company themselves, and for that reason it had 0.2'' margins on all sides. Mohini Visions also maintained the website of this company.

Completed on:
February 2004

In 25 pages, at size A4 (full colour) an important funding request was made by the museum. The actual contents was only 8 pages, but the annexes and design made it the more impressive. The goal was to encourage the funding organisation to make money available for the third and last year of this project which was about making the museum more professional. With a clear flirting with future EU projects, this experimental project culminated in project coordination of liveARCH.
