This house (6 X 6 X 6 M), designed to house two people, can be constructed in a very short time. The assignement was to stay within the boundaries of the kube with the chance to expand in a single direction. Therefore, we chose to make a twist in the top floor and project a panel from glass - this together gives the direction for future expansion. In the planning, we used a wooden skeleton construction with sandwich panels as walls. On the ground floor they are covered on the outside with western red ceddar, at the top floor with aluminium.

Options for expansion are numerous (facing south) and it fits in an environmentally friendly style of living with amongst others garden roofs and the possible application of solar panels. Belwo some possibillities.
Please see as well the images to view the plans of the simple and extended versions.

Extension possibillities
The ground floor has a sleeping room / working room function, the living room is upstairs with a large teraace facing south. The gallery stairwell which runs around the house provides an extra touch.
